The woman accused of starting the Highland Lakes fire in Teller County last year has been found competent to stand trial. Last October a fire started near Divide that burned more than 150 acres. 77-year-old Lacey Tillit was arrested after she told law enforcement, she had been allegedly burning cardboard boxes inside her oven and the flames overwhelmed her and set her home on fire. That led to more than 700 home owners evacuating their homes. She was arrested earlier this year for felony arson. Two doctors tested Tillit. One said she was incompetent, and another said she was competent. The judge made the final decision and said the trial will go forward later this month.
