The Gazette is reporting there was a hearing Tuesday to discuss where things stand in the Robert Dear Planned Parenthood shooting case. Dear admitted to killing 3 people and wounding 9 others in 2015 at a planned parenthood clinic in Colorado Springs. The main holdup in his case has been his competency. For years Dear was deemed incompetent to aid in his own case. A judge determined he could be forcibly medicated 3 years ago. Lawyers for Dear have been fighting that ruling. Nothing was decided Tuesday. There will be another hearing later this year. Dear is facing 179 state charges and 68 federal charges.
