The Colorado Bureau of Investigation says 24 bodies were recovered from a hidden room at the Davis Mortuary in Pueblo. A recent inspection led to the discovery of the room last week and the bodies inside. Davis Mortuary is co-owned by Pueblo County Coroner Brian Cotter and his brother. Also found in the room were human tissue and bones in containers. Authorities served a search warrant on the homes of Brian Cotter and his brother Tuesday. Cotter has been urged to step down from his coroner’s position. Authorities have still not yet filed any charges, Officials say id’ing the remains may take months.
