Clean up crews had to be called out Thursday night as severe storms pounded the Colorado Springs area. Heavy rain caused street flooding in a number of locations in central Colorado Springs. High winds accompanied those storms and many trees were knocked down near Chelton and Airport. Crews worked into the night cleaning the area. The storms also knocked out power for several hundred residents. We could see more heavy rain and wind Friday and again Saturday. Sunday through early next week brings warmer and drier air to the region.
