The latest on a story of pet remains, intended for cremation discovered in a storage unit in Colorado Springs last week. The man renting the storage unit is identified as Marcus Williams, owner of “Peaceful Memories Afterlife Pet Care.” Monday morning he released a statement to KKTV 11 news saying the remains were in that unit because a freezer had been accidentally unplugged. He says he takes full accountability for the problem and apologized to families and the community. Williams says he is working with the Humane Society of the Pikes Peak region to resolve the issue. He added he is strengthening protocols and improving safeguards in his business.
