Our partners at KKTV 11 News held a one on one interview with Colorado Springs Mayor Yemi Mobolade, who told the station he wants to run for a second term. In 2023 Mobolade became the first black elected mayor in Colorado Springs. He has made public safety one of his top priorities. The next general election will be in 2027. He is the first to declare his candidacy.
