By a narrow 5-4 vote Colorado Springs City Council passed a resolution Tuesday marking October 14th a day of remembrance for political activist Charlie Kirk. He was killed in Utah last month. Council member Brandy Williams sponsored the resolution. Those on council who were against it said council should be focusing on local issues relevant to Colorado Springs. Kirk was a member of the Air Force Academy’s Board of Visitors. Charlie Kirk’s birthday was October 14th.
