The Colorado Secretary of States office has responded to the Trump Administrations request to turn over sensitive unredacted voter information, including name, address, and driver’s license. Colorado Secretary of State Jenna Griswold said quote, “We will not comply with the Trump department of justice’s request for Coloradoans’ sensitive voting information. The DOJ can take a hike. It does not have the legal right to that information.” The Civil Rights division of the Department of Justice asked for the information Monday. The DOJ has already sued at least 14 states that have refused to produce their statewide voter registration information or failed to provide information regarding their voter list maintenance procedures.
