Colorado Springs Police are warning the community about a new scam in the area. Officials say people have reported getting calls from someone pretending to be the Chief of Police. The scammers are using a fake caller ID that makes it look like the call is coming from a police station. Victims are told they have a warrant for their arrest and need to pay to avoid being taken into custody. Authorities want to remind everyone that they will never call someone and ask them for money for any reason.
