Tina Peters, the former Mesa County Clerk, in jail for allowing unauthorized access to a voting machine, was involved in what’s being called a skirmish in prison. A social media post claims Peters was assaulted by another inmate Sunday night at the La Vista Correctional Facility. Video shows Peters and another prisoner scuffling, with Peters pushing the inmate away. The altercation lasted just seconds. The two were separated. The Department of Corrections says Peters was moved to another part of the prison.
