Some residents who live near the Ford Amphitheatre in northern Colorado Springs have had enough. 8 residents are now suing the Amphitheatre, saying the music venue is violating state laws that limit how loud concerts and other events can be. The Amphitheatre has worked the last couple of years to build additional sound walls to dampen the noise. But even those efforts have failed to appease residents, some of whom live 2-3 miles away, and say they can still hear the music in their homes with doors and windows shut. The Amphitheatre opened in 2024 and has worked on the noise issue since day one. The venue has a special noise hardship permit from the city that does allow it to exceed nigh time residential noise limits briefly.
