Colorado Springs City Council did not give a proclamation recognizing Black History Month in February in the springs. Previous city councils have done that. The gazette is reporting the local chapter president of the NAACP Angela Stevens called council out for the omission. Now the Gazette is reporting one of the items on the February 10th agenda is titled, “Resolution of Recognition” which may refer to council discussing a resolution of the issue.
