A woman remains hospitalized after being shot by Colorado Springs police late Saturday night. A domestic disturbance call sent officers to the 1200 block of Delaware Drive near Citadel Mall. Police found a woman matching the description of witnesses and tried to talk to her. She had a knife and ran, at one point throwing that knife at police. She jumped into a police cruiser. As police tried to get her out she reached for a shotgun in the vehicle and was then shot by one officer. The victim is expected to survive. No word yet on what charges she may face. The shooting, as per protocol, is being investigated by the El Paso County Sheriffs Office.
