Human remains were found Thursday morning on Pinello Ranch, in the Security Widefield area. They were located near a drainage pond, close to I-25, in an area that’s used by Colorado Springs Utilities to keep service vehicles. The El Paso County Sheriff’s department took over the scene and searched throughout the day for any additional remains. It may be some time before we know if those remains are from a recent death, and if the death is suspicious. The county coroner will determine the cause of death.
