New information has been released on the man shot and killed by Colorado Springs police last weekend. Benjamin Greenfield was in a car and refused commands to exit the vehicle. He then fired one round at police who returned fire killing Greenfield. We have now learned the suspect was taken into custody March 11th. Springs police and the FBI were serving a search warrant at Greenfields home for alleged drug trafficking. Greenfield refused to leave. He set fire to the home, then tried to flee but was captured. Last Saturday police recognized Greenfield driving with a companion near San Miguel and Academy and tried to take him into custody.
