In Denver at the state capitol legislators are considering a measure that would give local officials more control over how loud concerts can get. Among those in support of the new law is Venue, the owner of the Ford Amphitheatre in the springs, and Senator Larry Liston who believes decisions on how loud concerts and events are should be decided by local officials. Neighbors as far as 3 miles away have complained about how loud concerts are at Ford Amphitheatre. The venue has a noise hardship permit with the city of Colorado Springs that lets it exceed normal city noise limits during concerts at night.
