It was announced last week former Colorado Springs mayoral candidate Wayne Williams was named the Chief of Staff for springs Mayor Yemi Mobolade. The announcement came as a bit of a surprise since Williams ran against Moboalde in the 2023 mayors’ race. Williams was on the Richard Randall show and was asked if he considered another run against Mobolade, who is up for re-election. He told Randall he did think it over but in the end decided not to. Soon after his decision the mayors’ chief of staff position opened up. Mobolade said Williams was an ideal pick because of his experience working in government at the city, county and state level.
