As oil prices rose around the world because of the conflict between the United States and Iran gas prices soared above 4 dollars a gallon across much of the country. For a while Colorado was the exception. But that has changed. Earlier this week the average price of gas in Colorado jumped 27 cents from last week to 4.19 a gallon. In Colorado Springs we have seen a 37 cent increase to 4.13 a gallon. Nationwide the average price as of this morning is 4.22 a gallon.
