Colorado Springs City Council made it official Tuesday, formally eliminating “LETAC,” the Law Enforcement Transparency and Advisory Commission. The panel was established 6 years ago in Colorado Springs to work with police and make recommendations following the shooting death of a man by springs police in 2019. The commission itself recommended in March they should be disbanded, feeling they were not having an impact. Springs city councilman Roland Rainey says he wants to continue some kind of advisory board. Mayor Yemi Moboblade and springs Police Chief Adrian Vasquez suggested a new commission could be formed
