A protest this weekend by residents opposed to a data center planning a facility in Colorado Springs. Raeden, a California company wants to put an A-I center in the old Intel chip building on West Garden of the Gods. Over the weekend a protest was organized. Those opposed set up a noise demonstration with a loud hum at 90 decibels. Protestors said that’s what a new data center will sound like. Raeden officials say the center will produce 41 decibels, below the allowable limit by the city of 55 decibels. Colorado Springs City Council will ultimately decide the fate of the A-I center.
