President Trump once again demanded that Tina Peters, the former Mesa County Clerk and Recorder, be released from jail. She was found guilty of allowing access to election computers to an unauthorized person. It was determined she did so to help the Presidents claim the 2020 election was stolen from him. Trump issued a threat of “harsh measures” if she was not set free. Colorado Secretary of State Jenna Griswold called both the President and Peters, “election denying criminals who put their need for power ahead of the American people. Peters was sentenced to 9 years in prison.
