9 news in Denver is reporting the FBI opened a preliminary investigation into threats made on social media that were ultimately connected to the sixteen year old who wounded 2 students last week at Evergreen High School. The suspect took his own life. In July the agency, acting on a tip from the Anti Defamation League began to look into an account whose author talked about planning a mass shooting. The agency said the threats made in the post were non-specific. The FBI said they could not find the author of the account and felt there was no cause for arrest or federal involvement. The author of the account was ultimately identified as the Evergreen shooter, Desmond Holly. 1 student still remains hospitalized in critical condition.
