A suspect who stole a truck in monument, crashed in Pueblo and according to authorities, fired at law enforcement before his arrest has been identified. The Pueblo County Sheriff’s office says 25 year old Michael Trujillo stole a truck in Monument, and was pursed by Monument Police and the Colorado StatePpatrol Tuesday down the interstate and into Pueblo. Trujillo tried to drive through a field but the vehicle got stuck. Deputies say Trujillo fired a gun 2 different times at law enforcement. After the second effort an officer returned fire, striking Trujillo. He is in the hospital facing charges. The officer was placed on routine administrative leave.
