The Purrfect Bean cat café in Richmond has temporarily shut down following major flooding caused by a cat named Roller. According to the café, flooding resulted from what they called a “series of freak accidents” involving Roller, a towel, and a sink. Water from the upstairs cat lounge leaked into the downstairs café area. All cats remained safe during the incident, with some reportedly “enjoyed splashing around in the water.” The felines are currently staying with previous foster families while damage is assessed. The Purrfect Bean opened in August. Owners expect the closure to last at least one week, possibly extending to several weeks. (Story URL)
