Randy Blevins, the man accused of assaulting a parking lot attendant at the Pikes Peak Cog Railway made a court appearance remotely Thursday. Blevins is charged with second degree assault for allegedly hitting the 66 year old attendant, while reportedly being told to get out of the parking lot because he and his wife were trespassing. The two had just finished the Manitou Incline and were taking a shortcut through the parking lot August 18th when an altercation started. The victim reportedly continues to have memory issues and other challenges following the alleged attack. Blevins’ lawyer suggests he may use PTSD as a defense. Blevins served two tours in Iraq and was diagnosed with PTSD. His trial begins in April of 2026.
