34 year old Mathew Reigner will stand trial on a charge of 1st degree murder and other offenses following a ruling by a judge last week. Reigner is accused of stabbing to death his brother-in- law 31 year old Raymundo Cabrera Medina, and injuring his mother-in-law and wife. Authorities say an argument started when Reigner’s wife tried to take their two year old baby from Mathew to comfort the child and Reigner refused to give her the child. Mathew Reigner says he acted in self defense after his wife grabbed his neck. He will return to court in late March.
