Two Colorado Springs Police officers suffered injuries during a traffic stop Monday night. They pulled a car over in the 500 block of north Murray. Inside a driver and a passenger. The driver was removed from the car for additional investigation. The passenger was in the backseat. He jumped into the front seat and tried to drive off. Two officers were dragged several feet before restraining the driver. He was identified as 32 year old Anthony Lofton. He had a warrant out for his arrest. He was charged with 1st degree assault on a peace officer. Both springs police officers suffered injuries.
