According to the Gazette a recall effort against Colorado Springs City Councilman Tom Bailey has come up short of the necessary signatures. Several residents in Bailey’s district in the pine creek neighborhood were upset that bailey voted in favor of an affordable housing project to be built in that area. They began a recall petition but failed to get the number of required signatures. Those residents will now have 30 days to gather new signatures and to remedy any signatures that were called into question by the city clerk’s office. Bailey was just elected to city council last April.
