A man has been identified by the El Paso County Sheriff’s office as the suspect in a shooting Monday that injured a Colorado Springs police officer. The suspect is 35 year old Michael Foster. That shooting was in the 2600 block of east Bijou. Officers part of a fugitive apprehension unit saw foster acting suspiciously. As they approached Foster ran and pulled out a weapon and fired at police. One officer was hit. Police returned fire wounding Foster. He remains hospitalized in serious condition. The wounded officer is out of the hospital. No word yet on what charges foster is facing.
