Kroger, the grocery store giant that owns King Sooper stores has named Greg Foran its new Chief Executive Officer. He replaces Ron Sargent who had been interim CEO since March of last year. Foran brings with him some 40 years of experience having led businesses in 5 different countries. He was the CEO of Walmart for 6 years until 2019. While at Walmart he oversaw 46 hundred stores with more than 1 million employees. Recently Kroger failed in its efforts to acquire Albertsons. A federal court halted the effort in late 2024, which led to Albertsons pulling out of the deal in December of that year.
