The man accused of stabbing CSPD K-9 officer Roam several times last October, was in court yesterday. Anthony Bryant was found competent to stand trial. He was taken into custody last year following a domestic violence call. During that incident Byrant stabbed K-9 officer Roam, who needed emergency surgery and wound up having a leg amputated. His defense attorneys argued that he was experiencing a psychotic episode during the incident. A judge said his hallucinations were drug induced and denied a request to lower his bond. He faces charges of second degree burglary, criminal mischief and cruelty and aggravated cruelty to a law enforcement animal. Bryant’s expected to be back in court next month.
