Colorado Springs City Council voted Tuesday to approve an urban renewal district at Moreno and Cascade avenues. The project calls for a Seven story hotel on the north side of Moreno, and low income and affordable housing on the south side of that intersection. Developers say at least 70 housing units would be built. Residents in the Mill Street neighborhood nearby were not happy with the decision. They say they were not given an opportunity to give city council their opinions on the project.
