Buc-ee’s continues their efforts to try and build a travel center at I-25 and County Line Road. A company connected to the travel center is asking county officials if their land use permit could be classified for the purposes of a convenience store. Buc-ee’s bought land at I-25 and county line road earlier this year after Palmer Lake residents said no to a proposal of working with the travel center. El Paso County officials say any land development plans must fall in line with current county zoning codes. If the plan is approved, it does not mean the company has been given approval to build. There are more steps in that process that would have to be addressed.
