A judge in Alamosa has a granted a delay in the trial of Barry Morphew, who is accused of 1st murder in the death of his wife Suzanne. Morphew’s attorneys’ asked for the delay, saying they need more time to go through all the evidence. Morphew is accused of killing his wife 6 years ago at their home in Salida. Her body was found 3 years ago outside the town of Saguache. A grand jury delivered an indictment against Morphew last year. There’s so much evidence the trial may not start until June of next year. Morphew is out of jail on a 3 million dollar bond.
