At a news conference Monday 4th Judicial District Attorney Michael Allen, who is running for the Attorney Generals seat, said a software malfunction exposed his personal information and information on more than 130 thousand confidential voters in Colorado. Confidential voters are defined as people who may be in public service or residents who have safety concerns. Colorado Secretary of State Jena Griswold, who is running against Allen for the ag’s seat, took responsibility for the glitch. She said it was discovered 11 days after a software update August 14th. The Secretary of State’s office said the records of 59 confidential voters were actually accessed, but by who is unknown. Allen said his information was accessed twice. Allen wants law enforcement to investigate what happened.
