Former Pueblo County Coroner Brian Cotter and his brother Chris, the former owners of Davis Mortuary in Pueblo have been formally charged with 125 counts of abuse of a corpse, 25 counts of theft and 9 counts of forgery. Last summer a routine inspection at the mortuary led to the discovery of 24 bodies improperly stored and hidden in a backroom. 19 of the 24 bodies have been identified. Both Cotter brothers are being held on a 1 million dollar bond.
