There’s a public meeting Saturday morning at 11 as representatives of “COCO, the front range passenger rail service meet with Colorado Springs officials and residents to discuss the proposed rail plan. The rail line once completed will run between Fort Collins and Trinidad. Officials have funding in place to build the line from Denver to Fort Collins. In November they are asking voters in affected counties to approve a tax to raise money to finish the line between Denver and Trinidad, with 2 planned stops in Colorado Springs. That meeting is at the Penrose library.
