District 11 officials said Monday Coronado High School will forfeit their football game this week against Lutheran. The teams were scheduled to play Thursday night. D-11 officials said they have been talking for several weeks and after a lot of discussion said Coronado won’t play the game. Lutheran fans and students have been accused of making racial remarks during games against Sand Creek High School and Rampart earlier this year. Last week, because of those alleged remarks, Air Academy decided to forfeit their game with Lutheran. The Colorado High School Activities Association has been gathering information and was awaiting a report from Lutheran school officials on the allegations. It’s not known if other schools on Lutheran’s schedule are considering forfeiting any games.
