The Gazette is reporting Colorado Springs Utilities may have to consider another location for a power plant that is expected to break ground in June. The Horizon Power Plant is a new facility to be built near Drennan and Marsheffel. But a new study shows emissions from the plant could be dangerous for light sport aircraft flying in and out of the nearby Colorado Springs Airport. Utilities say in a statement they have other sites under consideration. Springs utilities wants to have the plant online by 2028.
