A pilot flying a plane dropping water on the Gold Mountain died Sunday when his plane went down in Silver Jack Reservoir. The Montrose County Sheriff’s office received a call of a plane down in the water. The pilot did not survive. They were the only person on board. The sheriffs dive team did recover the pilots body last night. No early word on why the accident happened. That fire is currently at 36 thousand acres burning in Gunnison Ouray and Montrose counties
