Victor Marx has won the GOP race for Governor. He was declared the winner Thursday afternoon, defeating Barb Kirkmeyer by more than 2 thousand votes. The margin of victory fell outside the percentage for a ballot recount. Marx is a political newcomer. He will face off against Phil Weiser, the current Attorney General, for the governors’ seat in November. The last time Colorado residents elected a republican governor was 1998.
