Residents of a Cañon City neighborhood were allowed back into their homes after a four-block radius was evacuated early this morning after a gas line explosion destroyed a house on Woodlawn Avenue.
A 30-year-old man was thrown from the residence, and was airlifted to a Denver hospital with serious burns.
The gas main was shut off and a resulting fire was put out. No other injuries were reported. The cause of the blast is under investigation.
