The investigation continues following a Wednesday afternoon shooting at the Aviation Apartments in the springs in the area between North Murray and Palmer Park. A fugitive apprehension unit consisting of officers from various agencies was following a wanted suspect. He drove into the apartments and parked. At that point police began to approach. The man pulled out a gun and opened fire hitting a police vehicle. Officers returned fire, wounding the suspect. He is in the hospital in serious condition. Authorities have not said who he is nor have they indicated what charges he was wanted on.
