At a press conference Thursday Colorado Springs Mayor Yemi Mobolade and springs police chief Adrian Vasquez said crime in Colorado Springs was down in 2025 compared to 2024. Vehicle thefts dropped by 42%. The murder rate fell by 28% and robberies were also down. The department has invested heavily in drone technology which officials say has made a big difference, especially in catching street racers. Vasquez says crime rates are down so far this year in the springs.
