Officials have identified the three firefighters who lost their lives battling the Snyder Fire Saturday in western Colorado. 27 year old Sydney Watson, 27 year old Nick Hutcherson and 38 year old Emily Barker were part of a U.S. Forest Service Helitack crew based in Rifle in northwestern Colorado The 3 tried to use emergency protective shelters as the fire closed in, but they were overcome. 2 other firefighters were injured. Governor Jared Polis said flags will fly at half staff on the dates of the victims memorials, which have yet to be announced.
