More heavy rain in southern Colorado Wednesday resulted in additional flash flooding in Pueblo County in the area of the Aspen Acres fire. The town of Beulah saw a number of area roads covered with mud and debris as flash floods raced across the region. Northcreek road in the town was among the roads covered with not only mud, but ash from the aspen acres fire. Highways 78 and 165 were closed because of the flash flooding. And there’s a chance for more heavy rain Thursday and Friday. There were no reports of injury. The fire remains just shy of 102 thousand acres with 66% containment.
