A statewide walkout by students protesting Immigration and Custom Enforcement agency actions is expected to take place Friday. The effort is being headed by the Colorado Youth Coalition. Students in more than a dozen counties, including here in El Paso County will walk out of class protesting actions by ice personnel around Colorado and across the country. It’s unknown where El Paso County students will gather. Students are also expected to walk out in Denver County, Douglas County, Arapahoe, Boulder, Jefferson, Pueblo, Teller, Montrose and Adams counties. It’[s unclear how school districts in El Paso County will handle those walkouts.
