The El Paso County Sheriff’s office working with Colorado Springs Police, and the Aurora Police Department found a small child who had been missing since November of last year. 30 year old Aleyha Murphy was accused of a custody violation involving her child. She was supposed to give the child to the custodial parent but disappeared with the toddler last November. Springs police found her without the child this past august and arrested her. The El Paso County Sheriffs officer searched her home and discovered an address connected to the child’s grandfather who lives in Aurora. Police in Aurora activated the swat team and went to the grandfathers home where the child was found October 8th. 54 year old David Mcghee is facing several charges including second degree kidnapping. The child is now back with its custodial parent.
