Another day of hot temperatures and windy conditions for much of central and southern Colorado today. Firefighters are on the lines of several major fires, including the Aspen Acres Fire in Pueblo County which at last count has burned some 23 thousand acres. The Pueblo County Sheriff’s Department says some homes have been damaged….The Snyder fire is at 30 thousand acres burning near the Colorado-Utah border southwest of Grand Junction….. Firefighters are also on the scene of the Gold Mountain Fire near Ouray. It’s consumed 83 hundred acres. All these fires at last check are 0% contained.
