Colorado Springs Police responded quickly Tuesday afternoon to a call for aid in the 1100 block of Norwood avenue. Numerous 911 calls came in with witnesses saying there was a man with a gun. A woman said her uncle had forced his way into a home and was armed. Neighbors reported seeing a man with a weapon firing into the air. Police contacted the suspect who refused to listen to commands. They subdued him with what’s called a conducted energy weapon. Police arrested 31 year old Delano Hernandez. He is facing numerous felony and misdemeanor charges. No one was injured in the incident.
